Salary: Commensurate with experienceRequired Qualifications: Ph.D. in Materials Science or Chemistry. Demonstrated track record in Electrochemical Energy Storage (EES). Past interaction with Brookhaven National Lab (BNL). Past Industrial Experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Ten years post graduate experience in electrochemical energy storage. Minimum two years interaction with BNL in EES. Minimum two years industrial experience in EES. Experience in collaborative projects. Leadership of collaborative projects. Demonstrated independent and collaborative funding.
Responsibilities & Requirements: The Associate/Full Professor will be expected to initiate independent research, develop multi disciplinary programs, work within teams and pursue excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching. Interaction with BNL is required, interaction with industry and other sectors are strongly recommended. Successful candidates will demonstrate the potential to generate funded research, a commitment to teaching, and scholarship at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Special Notes: This is a tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
