The Engineering Department Manager is a new position in the organization and is tasked with managing the activities, projects, staff, programs, and operations of the assigned engineering department.
The engineering manager helps identify, develop and carry out Trindera’s business objectives, policies and plans for the department. Participates in developing strategic department direction and aligns department work plans with the company’s objectives. Participates in setting and managing department budgets and staffing levels.
Coordinate work assignments and review department performance to ensure the efficient, cost effective utilization of staff. Provide guidance to project managers with RFPs, RFQs, project scoping and engineering fee estimates.
Manages marketing and business development efforts for the group including, but not limited to, marketing calls and network outreach to grow customer base in alignment with company proposal value targets for the year.
Responsible for client management, including general client relations and client feedback.
Ensures project deliverables are in compliance with Company quality objectives.
Collaborates with other managers across the organization to achieve the company’s goals.
Serves as technical advisor, providing senior-level engineering input and evaluation on projects. As needed, will engineer projects including, but not limited to, project management, performing quality control review on project drawings and specifications.
This is a hands-on manager role requiring 50% utilization and 50% managerial duties.
This position will report to the Director of Engineering and may be based in either of our offices. Job requires regional travel up to 25% of the time.

Develop and implement both detailed one-year and three-year department roadmaps with specific measurable goals.

Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards.

Keeps current on technological advances in the engineering field.

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
A minimum of 8 years in the electrical industry with experience with electrical design, 4 years of which were in a supervisory role.
Professional engineering registration preferred.
