Job Technical Skills – Supervises the overall day-to-day operational activities at a combined-cycle power plant and landfill gas electrical generation facility. Responsible for coordinating required staffing levels outside normally scheduled work hours for a 24/7/365 plant to ensure critical plant operations. Implements safety controls such as lockout/tag out, confined space entry permits, hot work permits, and fire protection systems status. Emergency or other plant situations will require staying late, coming in early, taking phone calls from staff at odd hours, weekends and immediate call backs to the plant.
Supervises staff at a combined cycle power and landfill gas electrical generation facility to include prioritizing and assigning work, monitoring performance, conducting performance evaluations, ensuring staff are trained, and making hiring, termination and disciplinary recommendations.
Develops, implements and monitors plant operations procedures and programs to ensure plant availability, reliability and performance.
Qualifies to perform operational duties of TBGS direct reports. Maintains technical competency in order to function as an operator, when required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate’s degree in a Technical or related field, and
Five years of progressively responsible operations experience in a power generation or industrial facility with three years of supervisory or management experience, or
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
