The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The University of Toledo invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in inorganic chemistry. Applicants in all areas of inorganic chemistry are encouraged to apply, especially those with expertise in materials chemistry, nanomaterials, thin-film preparation, heterogeneous catalysis, and energy storage applications.
The successful candidate will begin their appointment August 2020, will be expected to teach in the undergraduate and graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) programs, and establish and maintain an externally funded research program. Opportunities for intra-university collaborations are possible through the College of Engineering, the School of Green Chemistry and Engineering, and the Wright Center for Photovoltaics Innovation and Commercialization.
A Ph.D. degree in chemistry or a closely related field and a commitment to work with a diverse student population is required; postdoctoral experience is preferred.
